ANSI Floating Ball Valves are quarter-turn valves designed in accordance with applicable ASME and API standards for reliable isolation and shut-off in industrial piping systems. In this design, the ball is not mechanically fixed to the stem and is allowed to move slightly under line pressure, which helps press the ball against the downstream seat to provide tight sealing. Floating ball valves are widely used in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, and process applications, particularly for small- to medium-size pipelines and moderate to high-pressure services.
